Breakfast was lovely, option of a full fry up, they had fruit and pastries too, juices, tea, coffee, toast etc. the ladies at reception were lovely, the people working in the bar and restaurant were very pleasant and it’s within walking distance to the centre of the city (5 minute walk). If you want to go further, there’s a bus station to go to different cities about 5 minutes away, and there’s bus stops to take you around waterford everywhere! The room was gorgeous, very tidy and spacious. Room service available until very late in the night and breakfast doesn’t finish at a ridiculously early time. Checkout wasn’t until 12pm so I got to go for breakfast at 10 and chill out for a while before I had to leave. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone considering staying here.

I loved everything, but the one thing that stood out the most was the staff. The staff was extremely sweet and pleasant. At the reception desk, the staff was extremely welcoming and sweet. And we did have one issue in the room one of the table lamps on the night stand was broken and not working properly, however when we contacted the reception they responded immediately and came to try fix it and ended up replacing it. The staff was so understanding and welcoming the whole stay. The bedroom was also so much bigger than expected and extremely clean and comfortable. And the view from the 4th floor bedroom was just breath raking of the landscape and the mountains. I absolutely love the hotel, and 100% would come back. It's definitely worth it for the price.

The room was was not what I would call spacious, but it was certainly adequate - we have stayed in much smaller rooms in other hotels. It was clean and comfortable, and the staff was great. We didn't have breakfast, but we did have dinner and drinks, and everything was delicious. We also had a car, so we appreciated the free on site parking, although we had a very difficult time finding the parking, especially with the road construction going on nearby. However, once we called the hotel to ask how to get there, a very nice girl gave us excellent directions and it was easy to find.

The hotel gave us a special welcome back to Waterford and paid every attention to our comfort. Reception staff are warm, friendly and helpful. The room was newly refurbished, clean and spacious aswell as quiet. The bathroom had a large walk in shower. The bar/ restaurant is very comfortably furnished and service most obliging. The location is convenient, just over the bridge and steps to the town centre. Overall we had a great stay at the Fitzwilton.

Big shout out to Martin at reception. He gave us a lovely welcome and we had a laugh with him checking in. His a credit to the hotel. He gave me a great first impression of the hotel. Bar was lovely and really airy. Food was delicious. Staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. The family room was lovely wasn't to big but we managed. Beds very comfy and loved having the fan in the wardrobe as the room gets really warm.
